About

Founded in 2004 by artist & musician Danny Broddle, London based Passarella is the complete aesthetic experience encompassing clothing, music and art. Inspired by Andy Warhol’s Factory, it produces multi-disciplinary works united by a sense of contemporary noir.

Clothing

Started as a bedroom company importing fabrics from Japan with manufacturing in the UK within a few years Passarella was sold to over 160 stockists throughout the world including; Harvey Nichols, Liberty’s, Le Bon Marché, Matches and END. and featured in some of the worlds key fashion media including iD Magazine, Hypebeast, High Snobiety, Dazed and Confused, Vice and Complex.

Exclusive designs have been created for the likes of Selfridges, Lane Crawford, Oki-Ni, and END.

Music

Passarella Death Squad present a diverse combination of contemporary electronica & haunting songs.

Following their first 12” in 2007 came the much lauded debut album in 2010 (Awarded 9 / 10 by Vice) closely followed by their huge collaboration with the techno artist Perc entitled ‘Temperature’s Rising’ & the epic ‘Just Like Sleep’ which went on to be featured in the BAFTA Award winning soundtrack for ‘Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice’.

All supported by some of the world’s most in demand DJ’s such as Optimo, Daniel Avery, Norman Nodge (Berghain) & many more.

Art

Passarella’s artwork has been exhibited and installed throughout the world. Exhibitions have taken place at London, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Brussels, Paris and Newcastle, England. Art installations have taken place in Beijing, Le Bon Marché, Paris, SuperAmarket Tokyo, END. Newcastle and Storm, Copenhagen.

The 'Passarella' ident was created as a collaboration between Danny Passarella & Darryl Davis. Back in the mid 80s, Compton based artist Darryl Davis created the amazing 'World Class Wreckin Cru' and 'Techno Kut ' record sleeves, plus the iconic ' Ruthless Records ' ident for N.W.A.
